In “Skip Beat,” Gong Xi (Ivy Chen) supports her love interest Bu Poshang (Donghae) in his ambition to become a famous pop singer. Gong Xi neglects her own chances of pursuing further studies because of this. However, in his fame, Bu Poshang has turned selfish and a womanizer. In revenge, Gong Xi enters a rival management agency, intending to become a bigger star. There she meets top actor Dun Helian (Siwon), who falls in love with her.
